   Northfield Holiday Park Borth

Northfield Holiday Park Borth CeredigionNorthfield is a small, family run caravan park with thirteen fully serviced caravans and two three-bedroom spacious chalets with panoramic views of Cardigan bay.

Thoughtful landscaping and mass planting of hundreds of indigenous flowers, herbs and shrubs as well as sub-tropical palms, daturas and yuccas have made it the prettiest and most colourful park in Ceredigion.

In  2001 the park was awarded the David Bellamy Gold Conservation award, and became the first caravan site in Wales to become a member of Green Globe, the eco-tourism organisation. In addition, under the new Wales Tourist Board grading scheme the park received the Four Star award for Excellence, achieving a 100% mark for cleanliness.

Northfield Holiday Park Borth CeredigionThe park is within easy walking distance of the beach and shops, yet is private, quiet and peaceful. In a sheltered, south-facing corner, there is a small adventure playground with adequate seating and picnic tables for tired parents. There are bird feeding tables and nest boxes in the shrubberies and the flowers attract a range of species of butterflies. There is adequate literature available to enable children to identify the wildlife on the park itself as well as on the seashore and surrounding countryside.

The service room is open 24 hours and contains a washer. dryer and ironing facilities, plus an additional shower / wc, a hairdryer and payphone.

Dogs are allowed provided they are kept on a lead at all times and are not allowed to foul the grounds or to be left unattended in the caravans or chalets. A charge of £ 12 per dog is made to cover the unavoidable cleaning costs.

New customers are advised to book early, particularly for the main season, as we have a large number of regular customers, many of whom have been holidaying at Northfield for over thirty years, and who always book a year ahead!

Both chalets have one double bedroom, one twin-bedded room and one room with bunk beds; bathroom with shower, bath and WC. The lounge, dining room and kitchen are open-plan and from the verandah you can admire the views whilst enjoying your meal.

Northfield Holiday Park Borth CeredigionThe chalets have the benefit of several extras to make your holiday more enjoyable - all bed linen is provided - the lounge has a colour TV plus video, the kitchen has a microwave, a coffee maker and fridge- freezer, as well as the standard facilities.

Both chalets are double glazed and insulated with electric heaters in all rooms and are ideal for out of season breaks.

Caravans are two or three bedroomed, but vary in their layout. Two bedroomed caravans are approx 28ft x 9ft and the three bedroomed caravans are 34ft x 10ft. The caravans are regularly re-furbished to a high standard, and are kept scrupulously clean. All caravans have shower, w.c., fridge, full size cooker, electric kettle, colour TV, and heating.

Gas and electricity are included in the prices for both chalets and caravans. In addition to the above, the price of the three bedroom caravans also includes bed linen and microwave.

Linen can be supplied for two bedroom units at a cost of £4 per bed.

Folding canvas chairs, BBQS, microwaves and video recorders are all available for hire. See Price list for charges. Cots are supplied free of charge but should be ordered in advance.

There is ample car parking available on site - in most cases alongside or in front of the units.
