The deli counter, the European atmosphere and the quality of produce make it the most distinctive daytime stop in the town centre.

Coffee Corner is a small, unhurried independent cafe on one of Aberystwyth’s quieter streets, known for home-made Bara Brith, cakes and an unassuming welcome. It is the sort of place that regulars guard slightly jealously — unfussy, genuinely local and consistently good for a quiet sit-down away from the seafront crowd.

Coffee#1 on the main shopping street is part of a regional Welsh chain with a comfortable, well-run setup — a reliable option if everything else is full or you need somewhere with reliable wi-fi and space. The Secret Garden Cafe is a characterful option tucked away from the main streets, worth finding for a quieter pause. Jacobites Cafe is another independent with a good local reputation for food and coffee.
On the seafront and pier area, there are several seasonal stops that work well in summer but may have reduced hours or closure between October and Easter — worth checking before making a trip specifically to one of these.
